Fall Out Boy ft. Keltie Colleen
Mostly studying the past ten days. Studying-eating-studying-eating-studying-sleeping. Add in a few exams and presentations and you have my schedule for the past ten days.
I normally get distracted easily when I study. My cellphone close, always some dvds around and for some unknown reason there always seems to be some tennis tournament (my favorite to watch) on tv when I'm studying.
I only have one year of college left, which will mostly be spend doing my internship. The exams I took this week were my last ever. And I wanted to do good. Really good. So I needed to keep focused. With my sister studying for her high school finals, my mom around all day and the sun shining I didn't really see how to do that at first. I ended up packing all my stuff and spending long days at my grandparents house. I basically locked myself at the first floor, only coming down to eat.
I taped this paper on my grandmothers closet. It became kind of a mantra. Everytime I would wanted to take a break, wanted to call it a day, I would look at that paper and say those words. Courage. Passion. Hard Word. Quitters never win! I made it to the end without being distracted. I think I did awesome!
I gave it everything I had and now I can only hope it pays off in the end. Grades will be online on Friday in the late afternoon. I'll keep you guys posted!
As for now, I can finally officially say it's summer break :).
Not like I have that much planned, but I'm ready to enjoy some late nights out with my girls, bbqs, parties. I hope to do at least one day of Pukkelpop this year. I want to work on my reading list. I want to discover some new old music. I'm going to work for a month, saving up for a new laptop. I want to get my old vinyl player to work again. I'll be looking forward to the new Panic at the Disco record. I want to get a tan.
And mostly, I just want to learn to enjoying doing nothing at all. I think I started off pretty well today, just a lazy day at the pool.
